Past, Present, Future

Something very special about this house. It was one of the first things I photographed over 5 years ago when I began this journey. I thought of it throughout the years fondly. I had an opportunity to photograph it again.

This time I went with a new-to-me telephoto lens. Zoom in to see the windows, details of the worn, broken wood. I often wonder when I see these old abandoned homes, how did they end up in this condition? who would walk away from their home. There is beauty, even in the old, broken, falling down. PLM_8916 Window into the past

I think the most striking part of this pictures is the contrast of the old and new. Perhaps not so new, wind energy has been around for so long, in various ways. Often over looked especially in first world countries. Still, I love the contrast.

It is in the far corners, back roads you find these amazing treasures, and food for thought.

Skeletal remains of the past holds secrets.
